The Pennsylvania Ski and Winter Sports Museum and Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving our winter sports heritage. It is an educational organization that was formed in 1994 by a small group from the Stroudsburg area, led by Albert Dowden and Alex Bensinger.
The museum is a nonprofit corporation recognized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and supported by donors whose contributions are tax deductible. The museum's primary exhibit is located in the base lodge of Camelback Ski Area in Tannersville, Pa. Camelback has been extremely generous in providing a home for the museum and supporting its programs. Liberty Ski Area also hosts a museum display and additional exhibits are planned to be hosted at additional ski areas.
